A poem.

Pink-gold early morning clouds herald the day.

The tiniest tumbleweed, wind-tossed skitters across the road.

A lone deer stands at the tree line.

The wind whistles mournfully through the staff entrance door.

And the scent of bergamot tickles my nose as my Earl Grey tea steeps.

Hello windy morning.

Back to work...

...and so busy. So brought home take out and ate it at the table so I could enjoy these awesome UK themed placemats my friend made me for Christmas!!

Then kicked back and worked on a scrapbook layout about my birthday.

Popsicles are brilliant for migraine days.

A day for cat naps

I love bracelets, clearly...

Brunch with Sherry at the Waffle Shop and then off to Lock Haven for a fun afternoon painting ceramics! We'll have to go back next weekend and pick up our projects!! More fun ahead!

I want to be my cat and have someone's arms to snuggle up in and nap the night away.

Finally had a chance to do a pocket page for my December Daily album for the three postcards I got via the Love Notes Project from my mystery correspondent in Edinburgh. Need to find more scrapbook time!!

I'm not much of a fan of mornings, especially chilly ones, but they can be very pretty!!

Had a lovely and very necessary relaxing day watching DVDs and eating chicken noodle soup.

A long day

But always improved by a trip to the theatre. Extra special as this little piece of London is beamed into my local Performing Arts Center.

Was treated to an early birthday dinner tonight!

For daily jottings...

A friend gave me this journal for Christmas. Have hopefully talked myself out of the "it's too special to use" mindset and will try and write something every day. I like the idea of using it for my everyday book that gets journaling, but also shopping lists, pictures torn out of magazines and my daily schedule. So we'll see how that goes!

Still sick but on the mend. Spent most of today tucked up in front of the fire.

Long day required lots of tea!

Busy day at the library and lots of changes happening. The start of a new year seems like a good time for that.

It's also nice to come home from work and have some cuddle time too.

Back to the library!

So it's back to work today. After a week and a half off it will be hard to sit at my desk all day!

But I'm starting off the new work year with a nod to one of my 2013 goals: Wear only clothes I love. And something in me just loves knee socks and saddle shoes. And sparkly cardigans. And pink.

Check, check, check, and check. :D Color me happy!

Lots of thoughts and goals as I step forward into a new year, but first, my One Little Word -- Sparkle!

It's time to find ways to make myself, my home, my life glow and sparkle!

Along those lines I'm going to try and spark some creative flow and attempt to take and post at least one picture every day.

Lets see how that goes!!
